This section provides guidance on the DAS process and a step by step guide to processes carried out on DASH for creditors that are involved in a DAS debt payment programme (DPP).

Guidance

The operational guidance for creditors details the process and theory of DAS.  This guidance will assist creditors if they are involved in a DAS DPP and provide details and explanations regarding the procedures involved in DAS.  In addition the guidance provides instruction on the responsibilities and duties of the creditor while they are participating in  DAS DPP and effect that DAS has on the debt or debts owed to them.  The guidance does not itself have the force of law.  Interpretation of the law is a matter for the courts rather than the Scottish Government
